Bill Cosby Week with Alcoholic Ninja

As a personal challenge to myself, I've decided to have Bill Cosby Week. You can probably guess that this challenge is about watching as many cinematic rapes as possible. How nasty or disturbing the movie is has no bearing here. Bill Cosby Week is purely about quantity of rapes. So, pinku, Cat III and roughies are the order of the day.

This is a terrible week for me to undertake such an endeavour, both timewise and emotionally. Which is why I'm doing it now. It seems appropriate. This week will be a throbbing, black, non-consensual hardon thrust into my drugged and unconscious life. It's gonna be difficult to keep going, but I'll just shut my mouth and take it like the whore I am. It's my fault for wearing such a short skirt.

As previously mentioned, this is just a personal challenge. But feel free to watch some rape flicks too, if you're in the mood. Or you could use this thread as a source of recs for the December Extreme challenge. Or you could recommend some rapey faves for me to watch. Or you could dismiss this whole thing as a sickening way to make light of a monstrous criminal and the lives he's destroyed. Do what you want. Unlike Bill Cosby, I'm not here to make anyone do anything against their will. I just wanna watch some cool flicks and write tasteless mini-reviews.

Halfway through my first movie now. It's gonna be a fun week. Kinda. Hopefully I can make this thread worth reading.

A horror movie about rape

Rape is bad. It's very bad. I would not wish it on my worst enemy. But I'll gladly wish it upon hundreds of fictional characters, because why the hell not, they're not real, and they're not me, so what's the harm?
Now you might think I'm a tad odd, but chances are, if you clicked on this thread, you're just like me, and would also secretly enjoy watching random chicks being rammed for no good reason whatsoever. Just like you enjoy watching fictional peeps being gutted and decapitated all damn day, this is the Horror Board after all! So for all you sick freaks out there who clicked on this thread, you might just be interested in my thoughts on the latest perverted little horror rape flick I got my hands on, titled simply;

The Hospital (2014).

Not exactly a standout title. Had I called my thread, The Hospital, no one would have batted an eye lid my direction, or if they did, they probably wouldn't have been my intended audience, so I figured I'd be more descriptive. So yeah, rape. Rape rape, rape. That's what's this movie is about. But I suppose I should go into more detail for you. Here we go.

An old abandoned hospital is rumoured to be haunted. A group or paranormal enthusiasts go visit it to see what they find. Meanwhile, the hospital is watched by a very fat man who likes the rape people. And rape people. And rape people. There's so much rape in this movie it's beautiful.

image

Okay, so that's the basic synopsis, without me giving too much away. So, is the movie any good?

No. No it's not. This movie is so bad. So very, very bad. But, that doesn't mean it's not enjoyable! So don't stop reading just yet.

This movie is well made. Decent production values, a decent sized cast, good lighting and pretty entertaining script, it even has a score made for the movie, so it's got a lot going for it.
Where it falls down, is the acting is bad. Very bad. This movie isn't self aware either, it's actually trying to be a good movie. So the bad acting kinda take you out of it. This movie could have been a masterpiece, unfortunately, I was pretty annoyed with the two main antagonists (not gonna spoil who they are). They came across as a bit too energetic and hyper. It made them look less menacing, and more like excited children who would throw tantrums every now and then.
The sounding was also very off, and the special effects are worse. This movie actually made me think of a mean spirited version of Birdemic. Those effects were so bad. So very bad. The ending especially, oh dear.

Now that's a lot of negativity, but where I praise it, is.....wait for it...the rape scenes! Never thought I'd be saying this, but the rape scenes in this movie are awesome. It's basically the only reason to watch this film. And come on, I know you all want to see a fat rapist raping a fat chick, so don't deny it!
So, here's where this movie gets interesting. The rape scenes really aren't justified. There is no excuse for the blatant repeat of abuse. The women in it being constantly degraded and recycled for the viewer to watch. Scenes like necrophilia and sodomy, none of it is necessary. This is one of the reasons why many people hated it. Feminists and such calling shenanigans on the blatant abuse of women. Well this is the main reason why I loved it! The filmmakers didn't come up with a reason for the abuse, they just thought, 'why the hell not'! As a woman, I'm here to say....there's nothing wrong with that. Come one, we're all horror fans, we all love seeing people die in horrible ways. That doesn't make us bad people, just people with very active imaginations. We don't need a reason to justify us being gorehounds, why should rape be any different? Even A Serbian Film used justification of it all being a metaphor, but nah, The Hospital has nothing! Just rape. Rape, rape, rape. The filmmakers have balls, I'll give them that.

As ballsy as this movie is, it's still, technically, a bad movie. But I enjoyed it. I was particularly fond of the only decent actor in the whole thing, Daniel Emery Taylor, who played our fat rapist. Just look at this guy, doesn't he just look like the best rapist, he's even got the pedo tash going on!

image

My only complaint, is that guy doesn't get fully naked nearly as much as I would like. We see plenty of tits, but so little of this guys fat arse. Tragic, really. No need to be shy, you're in a horror movie dammit!

Many thanks to Ninjas for this movie, if anyone is interested in watching it, beware of the very heavily edited version online, some cutting out as much as 20 mins from the movie, which I can only assume are the very best bits. I checked out the uncut version on veehd, so enjoy, you sick freaks!

As always, thanks for reading,

Cannibal Holocaust (1980)

Ahhh, it's about time I tacked this movie. This iconic masterpiece. For many years I wanted to see this legendary movie. My love for controversial films had me noticing this flick mentioned time and time again. By this point, I was dabbling with the extreme and notorious, and this movie was always on my radar, but always out of reach. Back when I was in my teens, downloading movies was such a foreign concept to me, and this movie was still banned in Australia. Curse you, damn Aussie censors! Curse you all!!!!

image

Fortunately, the ban lifted in 2005, but I was still unable to locate a copy, and was too cheap to pay the $50 it cost from my local video shop, so alas, me seeing the legendary Cannibal Holocaust wasn't to be.
Until one fateful day when I in my room, minding my own business, when my father came in with a whole stack of movies.

"My mate at work just gave me all these flicks he obtained, there's some horrors in there if you're interested".

He left them on my bedside table, and out he went. I hobbled over and gave them a skim. Every time my dad's mate gave him movies, they were usually very mainstream, or just really lame, but I'll never knock back free movies, so what the hell!

As I flicked through them, my eyes caught hold of the all so famous cover of Cannibal Holocaust. I couldn't believe it. Cannibal Holocaust! I finally had it in my hands, and my own father had delivered it to me!!!
I love my dad.

image

What proceeded next would only secure my love for exploitation and extreme cinema. I had already seen Irreversible at this point, but not much else when it came to extreme cinema. But here was a movie that was argued to have been banned almost everywhere, had the director taken to court, and featured on almost every '˜most disturbing list' ever made. I couldn't wait to watch it.

This movie follows a rescue crew who travel into the Amazon, looking for a documentary crew who went missing. Directed by Ruggero Deodato, this amazing piece of cinema was not the first cannibal exploitation flick, in fact, quite a few had already been made by this point, but it's certainly the most well known. There is a reason for this. Cannibal exploitation flicks are either made with comedic overtone, or gritty and tribal atmosphere. Cannibal Holocaust went the latter route, and made it as grimy and unsettling as possible. Using various filming techniques, including the shaky cam, which would later become very successful film making, Deodato created a very voyeuristic flick which tacked some very important concepts, such as the ethical consequences of journalism, and the state of humanity when faced with greed. Add to that, the very taboo scenes of graphic brutality, sexual violence, and genuine violence toward animals, and you have one fucked up movie. And one marvellous movie at that.

image

After it was first shown in Italy, Deodato was arrested and charged with making a snuff film because people believed the actors were actually killed on camera. Idiots. Deodato was later cleared but the film was banned in almost everywhere after it. And so begins its notoriety. When will the censors learn, if you don't want someone to see something, don't ban it, you'll only get it more attention. Idiots!

One of the most iconic things about this movie, is the score. Probably one of my favourite scores I have ever heard in any movie, it switches between that beautiful melody coupled with the gorgeous scenery, and an unsettling creepiness which could unnerve you completely during the disturbing scenes. The music really helped to establish an atmosphere. No doubt it helped to make it as memorable as it is today. And those iconic disturbing shots, as well as the disturbing ending, no doubt pushed so many boundaries for us cinema lovers, horror exploitation fans will forever rejoice for seeing realistic looking carnage.

image

One thing I should say, as much as I love this movie, and all the cannibal exploitation movies, the animal killings does bother me some. While it certainly adds to the gritty and voyeuristic feel of the movie, it really didn't add anything for me personally. I tend to fast forward these scenes myself, being the animal lover that I am. However, I certainly won't boycott these movies for it and pretend I don't eat meat. But I do wish the animal killings were faked. Oh well, such is life.

If you haven't seen Cannibal Holocaust, watch it now! For the pure reason that it's one of those movies you just have to see. If the animal violence does go against your morals, there are copies which feature an animal cruelty free version. But this movie is rated highly for a reason. Long live cannibal exploitation!

Thankyou.

Irreversible (2002)

When I was just a little girl, my dad would take me to the local video shop to rent movies. There was this discount where you could get seven weeklies for seven dollars, and being the cheap movie buffs that we were, we would go nuts and spend ages finding movies to watch. Naturally I was always in the horror section and the foreign section, cos I had an inkling the foreigners knew how to make scary movies. By this point, I was already an established horror fan, but still an extreme movie virgin. The most brutal thing I had seen at this point was Braindead. Oh how I was naïve once....

image

Then, one fateful day, my sweet innocent 16 year old self came across a title I had seen mentioned on the Horror board before. A title I had seen mentioned on many DISTURBING lists. Oh how these lists intrigued me. Horror movies in general intrigued me, cos horror was always forbidden. But the extreme and disturbing horror movies were like the cream on top, the taboo fruit that one mustn't touch. But oh how I wanted to touch. I wanted to know everything about these disturbing movies, even if I was too chicken to watch them myself. But here I stood in this video shop, holding in my hand the one, the only, Gasper Noe's Irreversible!

image

I had heard the infamy surrounding this title, with a rape scene rumoured to last ten minutes, and an opening with frequency sounds meant to incite nausea. The cover depicting a pretty girl walking into an ominous, red tunnel, the title in huge backwards letters, and a warning splattered on the front, saying it may cause epilepsy. I knew this was no ordinary movie.

My eyes then turned to the R rating at the bottom. For you Americans on board, our R is like your NC17, not something a 16 year old could easily pull off from her loving father. Next to the rating, the words "RESTRICTED TO ADULTS: High level sexual violence, graphic violence, sexual activity! Nice!

image

I must have this movie, I thought! This was it! My chance to finally jump in the deep end! I was finally gonna check out something really scary. Something really fucked up. I snuck it in between some other random horror movies, in the same way a perv would hide a porno mag in between a house keeping mag and a Cosmopolitan, in the efforts hoping my dad would only skim through them when I handed them to him. Alas, as I did, he went through them thoroughly. Naturally his eyes narrowed when he came across Irreversible. Fuck!

"What's this?" father asked me, his eyes still narrow, as he turned it around and examined the back contents.

"Um.....it's just a horror movie". I said, playing dumb, like I had no idea how graphic the movie was meant to be.

"This doesn't seem suitable for you" said my father. Yeah, I can watch a man mow down zombies with a lawn mower into mush, but this is too much. Stupid logic! Of course I didn't say such things to him, I wanted him to let me have the movie. So I put on my best innocent doggy eyes, and explained how it's meant to be "really, really good, I heard so on imdb". My dad's eyes were still narrow. He didn't say a thing for like 30 seconds, which was completely unnecessary as I waited for his reply in annoying anticipation. Finally....

"Okay, we'll get it.... (FUCK YEAH!) but...... I want to watch it first to make sure it's appropriate".

image

I've never been much of an actor, it was hard to hide my disappointment, but without hesitation I replied "yeah no worries, let me know your thoughts!" Secretly though, I was crushed. If the rumours I had heard about the movie were true, he wouldn't get half an hour in before telling me I was out of my goddamn head. Dammit father!!!

All the way back home in the car, I contemplated how I was to thwart my father's efforts of being a good dad. Dammit I had to see the movie before him, but how?!

Well someone out there likes me, because it just so happens that that particular day, was Good Friday. As soon as we got home, my dad told me to get ready to see my grandmother, who was preparing a catholic lunch for my family. Aha! Perfect! Once my dad eats a massive meal, he'll wanna go to sleep, which will leave me free to watch Irreversible in my room completely uninterrupted! Ahaha! Hahahahhaahhahaha!

The day unfolded exactly as I thought it would, a couple of hours later we were home, and my parents were knocked out from lunch. Victory! Sweet, sweet victory! Oh so I thought. If only I knew what Pandora box I was opening. This was my first dabble into the extreme. And it has stayed with me ever since.

image

I talk big about extreme movies, I have seen far more sick and vulgar stuff since then, but at sweet 16, never had I seen anything so brutal, so traumatising, so scarring. Irreversible devastated me. It made me cry, it made me sick, it made me convinced that if I went to a party, I'd get raped and die and it would be horrible, which explains my lack of social skills as a teen. What's more, I couldn't get the movie out of my head. The head bashing, the rape, the tragic love story, the failed revenge, I couldn't get any of it out of my head. So many questions, so many ideas and concepts. The man that observed her being raped and did nothing, the dream where she saw the whole thing, the change of consistency with the tone of the movie, the backwards story telling. Everything stayed with me long after the movie was over. And it's because of that, that I highly recommend this movie.

image

This is why we watch cinema. Irreversible is an experience. It's not a pleasant one, it's a sickening one, it's one that will probably make you sick, probably make you cry, and probably depress you long after it's finished, but by God is it a damn good movie. I thought I would never rewatch it, but years later, I am 23, and I regard it as one of the best movies I have ever seen. Rewatched it multiple times and it still has the same effect on me as it did day one all those years ago.

Many movies that end up on disturbing lists sometimes only go for shock value, this is not the case here. The way the movie unfolds is a build up to the ending, which is actually the beginning, as the movie is told in reverse. As calm as the ending is, it's also shockingly beautiful and depressing at the same time. You know the future of the characters, even if they do not. What's more, these are real characters, just like you or me. The final shot has our protagonist fade into the background, just like another extra. Just like us. This movie really struck a chord with me.

Don't misunderstand my story, this is not the most disturbing movie ever made, and if you treat it as such, you may find yourself disappointed. All that comes down to personal preference and taste. There are far more fucked up movies in this extreme zone right now, but for me, this will always be my number one. My most disturbing movie ever. Nothing will ever come close to it. Irreversible left a scar in my psyche that can never be undone. Many apologies for the cliché, but never has a title been so accurate. Once you watch Irreversible, it cannot be reversed. But despite it all, I wouldn't chance a thing. Had I never watched Irreversible, my love for extreme and disturbing horror may have never been established. I wouldn't be the horror fan I am today. The movie may have traumatised me, but I will forever be greatful for it.

Thankyou for reading.

They All Must Die! (1998)

image One of my favourite sub genres in horror is rape and revenge. There's just something so inspiring watching a chick who was previously a victim, kick the shit out of the men that assaulted her. Among this sub genre, you'll find classics like;
I Spit on your Grave, Last House on the Left, Thriller: A Cruel Picture, Ms. 45 and I'll Never Die Alone. These excellent movies for the most part follow a simple formula. We follow a likable protagonist who gets fucked over. We then watch her fuck everyone else over. Must contain a harrowing rape scene and a fucked up revenge scene. That's what these movies are all about, right? A simple formula. So how did They All Must Die! manage to fuck it up?!

Directed by Sean Weathers, a man I know nothing about, They All Must Die! plays like a black version of I Spit on your Grave. Literally, it's essentially the same exact movie, only our rapists are from the ghetto, and it's set in New York City. Oh and our protagonist is a bitch. So already, you can see this movie isn't really setting itself up right. We're supposed to like the victim, that's why we feel bad when she gets raped, and we cheer when she grows some balls. But this chick is just unlikeable. So full of herself. It's hard to sympathise with someone like looks like this.

image

Not the most flattering picture of her, but still much more flattering then the cover. She's come all the way to New York to write a novel about black guys, or something. And gets annoyed when black guys hit on her. Which one does almost immediately. Cue our would be rapists.

image

Now these three losers see her move in and right off the bat, two of them just yell shit at her. Not trying to win her affections or anything, just trying to sound as 'gangsta' as possible. Saying stuff like;

"Yo........snowflake! If you aint ever been to the ghetto.......don't ever come to the ghetto. Cos...you wouldn't even understand the ghetto! So stay the fuck out of the ghetto!"

Oh. Are you guys in the ghetto? I'm glad you mentioned it, cos I wouldn't have noticed. Especially since it just looks like a regular street in New York City. And it's just the three of you losers and no one else. Yeah, they seem like real thugs alright. One looks like a 14 year old kid, who proclaims he's a virgin, and would rather be one than "eat pussy". Whatever the hell that means.
We got one that's skinny and who's too chicken shit to actually have sex with the chick, given the chance. And we got the big one, who runs over to her and flirts with her immediately. The big one actually does a pretty decent job at trying to win her affections in being friendly and welcoming. But remember, our chick is a bitch, so she'll reject him, more than once, after all, she's only here to write a book called "America through the Eyes of a Black Man". And who better knows America through the eyes of a black man, then a single white chick!

Well, after half the movie of trying to win over her affections and failing, the boys decide to actually act like thugs, and invade her house and rape her. And truth be told, it's the only good part of the whole movie. Lasting for about 20 mins, it's pretty damn uncomfortable and cringeworthy. But kinda annoying after a while too, both hearing our victim screaming a lot, and hearing the rapists talk shit the entire time and trying to sound tough. It would have been more effective if you actually liked the main girl. Oh well.

Unfortunately, the rape scene seems to be the only reason to see this movie. Everything leading up to it is boring and repetitive, and the revenge scenes after leave much to be desired. For a rape revenge film, there was shockingly little violence, and no gore. I find that very disappointing. The movie has the words BANNED on the cover, and there's no gore? Impossible! This whole movie is a tease!

image

Speaking of the cover, it's chock full of warnings and declaimers. Of course it is. The only thing offensive about this movie is the rape scene, but even that goes for too long and becomes almost boring at a point. This movie has heart, and wants to be as disturbing as possible. But it's far too obnoxious. While the rape scene tries to be disturbing, what's more offensive is the blatant splicing in of random lynching photos. I have no idea why these images are spliced in, but watch it for long enough and you'll noticed these images popping up for a mini second.

There's no musical score in this, much like I Spit on your Grave. But where I Spit had the peaceful tranquillity of nature and scenery, this movie has NYC. And bad actors pretending they're thugs. This movie plays out like some horror fans got a camera and asked their friends to improvise a movie. That's how low budget it is. So for the most part, it's a very decent effort. And pretty offensive and racist enough to raise some eyebrows. But too boring and obnoxious to be anything special.

4/10

Thanks for reading.

The enigma that is Lucifer Valentine

Back in 2006, Slaughtered Vomit Dolls finally hit the shelves as Lucifer Valentines debut was finally released. The cover art was childish, but freaky, like something an infant would draw to express that they were being abused. It's simplistic design, along with the fucked up title was enough to intrigue me. But I didn't watch it. I was too scared.

This in itself should cue you into the sort of bloke that Lucifer Valentine is. He's scary. Like really scary. As far as I can tell, his identity has been kept secret from the internet. No one knows what he looks like, and the few that have worked with him sure as hell aren't telling. So I'm going to go ahead and assume for argument sake, that Valentine looks like this.

image

In actuality, he probably looks like this.

image

But I'm gonna keep picturing the first picture till he shows his face....

Anyways, not only is his appearance a secret, so is his real name. Surely he doesn't expect us all to believe his parents just happened to call him Lucifer Valentine. Then again, if I ever turned to directing, I'd probably use an offensive pseudonym too, like Holly Cost, or Taylor Swift.

More interesting than this man's identify, is his upbringing. According to interviews, Valentine was raised by Satanists. Hmmm, perhaps Lucifer Valentine IS his real name. Then again he also apparently had a sister called Cinderella. Whom he had an incestuous relationship with???
At this point, I'm gonna stop, no need to keep repeating internet rumours and what not. I have no idea how much of this stuff is true or not. What I do know is, this man is slowly improving in becoming a bona fide hardcore underground director.

image

Slaughtered Vomit Dolls (2006)
The first of the trilogy. According to imdb, it's a "gruesome tapestry of psychological manifestations of a nineteen year old bulimic runaway stripper-turned prostitute as she descends into a hellish pit of satanic nightmares and hallucinations". Imdb makes it sound more interesting than it is. If I'm to be completely honest, I hated this movie. I wanted to like it, but nah, sorry Valentine, I hated it. I did appreciate what you were trying to do, but the hallucinations were too tiresome. The dialogue, the imagery, the nonlinear plot, the vomit, oh god the vomit! It was all too much for me. Definitely one of the grossest movies I had ever seen, but was such a chore to sit through. Slowing down the footage to the point that the dialogue is inaudible doesn't really serve much purpose. The movie did look quite satanic, so it gets points for that, but I lost interest 10 mins in. And unfortunately, the lead Ameara Lavey wasn't really holding my interest either. The good news though, is for a first project, there is always room for improvement. And not only does Valentine improve upon SVD, he's knocks it out of the park.

image

ReGOREgitated Sacrifice (2008)
Much like SVD, this movie is nonlinear. Again, Ameara Lavey stars in this beauty, but she is joined by the creepy Soska sisters. I couldn't really tell you what the movie is about, being non linear and all, its comes across as random footage. I read lately that it had connections to supposed suicide of Valentines sister, though I cannot confirm that myself. What I can tell you, is Valentine incorporated several different filming techniques that paid off a great deal in this one. You can see he's experimenting and trying to figure out his approach as a director. His use of score and editing had improved greatly from number one. He was able to actually build atmosphere and generate fear, something that was completely devoid of SVD. Use of the camera also was creepy. Everything in this movie was creepy. As gross and disgusting as it is, it cannot be denied, it's scary. I mean really scary. It feels like the devil himself directed this movie. Where the first one just looked like a really bad music video on acid. Well done to the Soska sisters as well, as their presence only made the movie that much more creepy.

image

Naturally, you can also expect lots of vomit and other disgusting things, one including a spider.....I don't like spiders.... Curse you Valentine. But don't look for spoilers here, cos I won't give them. What I can promise you, is lots of fucked up images. You'll get plenty of that and more here.

image

Slow Torture Puke Chamber (2010)
Starring Hope Likens, the spot light is taken off of Ameara Lavey. This is one of the better moves from Valentine. Likens actually does a very decent job at being sympathetic. And gross. How she managed to puke blood is beyond me, but naturally it freaked me out quite a bit. There is also quite a bit of shocking content (well duh it's a Lucifer valentine flick) accompanied with blasphemous imagery and s&m shit. I believe Valentine tried to up the stakes from RG, unfortunately, some of what is filmed is so shocking and over the top, it comes across as a little silly. The baby and blender part in particular. Again, the non linear thing. If I had any lick of smarts, I could probably figure out these movies, but I need to be spoon fed. Which is why I'm staying as far away from Lars Von Trier as humanly possible.
While a slight step down from RG, it's still a massive improvement from SVDs. Likens did an excellent job with her monologues, and Valentine even made tribute to The Exorcist. Or wanted to up the ante. Probably the latter. In his attempts to end the trilogy with a bang, he instead ended it with a kinda interesting finish, but nothing too unique or special.

image

A Perfect Child of Satan (2012)
Now this! This is good shit! I mean really good shit! This right here, is proof that Valentine can make a fantastic LINEAR plot movie. Albeit, it's only short, but it's a short flick that beats RG in terms of sheer fear. You can only find this on the Vomit Gore Trilogy boxset, but believe me, it's toally worth it. A short flick on the dangers of internet dating, told totally in first person and shaky cam, we see the first half through the eyes of a girl getting ready to meet her online boyfriend, and the second half we see through his eyes, how the evening plays out. I'm sure you can guess what happens.
For those of you who hate vomit, you're in luck, there's none here. This one doesn't attempt to gross you out, it just attempts to disturb you. And that's why I loved it. Using similar techniques from RG, Valentine uses music and anticipation to build up tension to an incredible climax. And Chelsea Chainsaw gives an incredibly real and emotional performance. I give total props to both of them. This gives me great belief that Valentine is totally capable of now making a full feature with a linear plot, that will scare Chuck Norris shitless.

Valentine also made a documentary on drug use called Black Metal Veins. I haven't seen this one as of yet, but will be shortly. In the meantime, I anxiously await to see more of what Valentine has to offer. It is awesome seeing his projects grow and improve over time. He is learning, and could possibly become the most fucked up film maker around, if he wants to. Only time will tell. Bravo Valentine. Bravo.

Thankyou.

Murder-Set-Pieces (2004)

Who here has seen Murder Set Pieces? Chances are you probably think it sucks. I don't know why, that's just what the general populace seems to think. I happen to really like it, and I stand by that notion in this very obvious minority. Well, not really like it, I find it somewhat entertaining at least. Certainly not as bad as most people seem to think. Sure the director might be an absolute and total manipulative douchebag, but lets not compare the artist to the artwork. πŸ˜‰

First and foremost, I get the hate this one gets. The director, Nick Palumbo is a tool! Selflessly advertising his material, bad mouthing and ripping off other movies, even gloating about hurting/scaring the actresses involved, the guy comes across as a real sleazefest! The commentary reveals just how big this guy's egoreally is. One might normally find using random 9/11 footage to be a tad distasteful, but not Palumbo, he's just getting started!

But... I'm more than willing to look past that. Lets get to the material!

Palumbo has called this movie the sickest thing you'll ever see! Is it? Hmmm, not really. It's sick, for certain. Mean spirited? Most definitely, with some very hard to watch scenes. But I've seen worse. Sorry Palumbo, babe. I'm not convinced.

We watch this German photographer.... this guy!

image

Mmmmm

......Oh sorry, I got distracted.

So we have this German photographer, who likes to meet women, take photos of them, rape them, kill them, eat them, workout and repeat. That's pretty much it, don't expect anything special here. Most normal people would see that there is something seriously wrong with this character. At a dinner with his girlfriend, he promptly tells his girlfriend's baby sister in his German accent that;
"Women suck blood out of men everyday. But at the end of every month.... it leaks out".
Hehehe, smooth. I will like to add at this point that the girlfriend see's nothing wrong here..... I mean really! Come on!!!!

I'll be honest, I really don't know why I like this movie. It's not perfect, it's nowhere near it, but I can't help but like it! Maybe it's the director's arrogance, maybe it's the unintentionally hilarious dialogue, maybe the German photographer...

image

Mmmmm

Oh sorry again, or maybe it's the fact that I purposely lowered my expectations. It's certainly not the sick materpiece the director wants you to believe, but for a sick twisted film, it does deliver. Nice effective (by Toe Tag Pictures of all companies. You'll even see a cameo by them), very gritty, very mean spirited and intense... and there's a hot German guy in it so there was no complaints from me!

I rated it 7/10. Nowhere near perfect, but enjoyable for what it is.

Thankyou for reading.

White Rose Campus: Then Everybody Gets Raped

You know what I hate? Misleading titles. I'm looking at you, Bill Zebub with your flick Jesus Christ Serial Rapist. Shame!
But you know what I love? Movies that are totally not misleading. White Rose Campus: The Everyone Gets Raped, is a very honest title. I know you think I'm making this title up, but I promise you I'm not, it's just Japanese;)

This movie is very much what you see is what you get. On a school trip, three freaks hijack onto a bus and molest/rape all the female students and their teacher. Any ugly students are kindly excused form the bus, as they will not be taking any part in their raping advertures. Unfortunately for the pretty ones, their excusion has only just begun.
Now meanwhile, the ugly students are picked up by some truck drivers. After telling them what had happened, they proceed to try and find the bus. Can they reach the bus in time before all the little ladies are violated?

This movie really cannot be taken seriously. Rape is terrible crime, but here we got a rapist that loves sniffing womans' used tampons, come on, this is way too OTT to be taken seriously. His performance is so erratic, it'll be hard to imagine this guy ever getting laid in real life. I mean look at this guy, he's got undies on his head!

image

At an hour and 5 mins running time, it's a very short and sleazy flick, it gets it's job done. Don't worry about acting or cinematography, or even a decent plot, cos that's all we get here. But for a Japanese rapesploitation, it's a pretty fun one at that.

Not much more I can say about this one, but if anyone wants a link to watch it online, you'll find it at Veehd, subbed.

Here on trash epics, we talk about a lot of trash. Some are good trash, some are not. This one really isn't good trash, but it's funny and entertaining, so if you have an hour to kill, why not watch some brainless japanese fluff.

Enjoy.

Red to Kill (1994)

What do you get when you have a exploitation rape revenge flick made by the wonderful filmmakers in Hong Kong. You get a class A Cat III flick. Being that this movie is Chinese and not Japanese, we get uncensorsed nudity too. Not sure how much of the nudity you'd actually WANT to see in this movie, but for all intents and purposes, this is a fantastic sleazy affair.

Meet our rapist, Mr Chan.

image

Played wonderfully by Ben Ng, you will never see a rapist as energetic and crazy as this guy. If you have to pick a reason to watch this movie, watch it for him. This guy makes Le Tenia cower in fear. He basically looks like a Chinese version of the Hulk. The thing that sets him off as a buldging, shaking, adrenline pumped sex addict, is the colour red. Apparently he was traumatised as a kid when he saw his mother murdered in a bloody fashion. Now the colour red turns him into a raping and killing fiend. You wanna know the most fucked up part fo this plot. Guess where our rapist/murderer works?
A home for mentally handicapped children. I wonder how long an american remake will come along?;)

Notice how I used red to highlight that above point? Smooth huh;)

Anyway, meet our main protagonist Ming Ming. An innocent child orphaned and placed in this home. Little Ming Ming is the sweetest character, you really want her to be okay. And watching over her is her social worker, Mrs Lok. But how long before someone wears red and sets our hulking rapist off into a trance?

Okay this movie is all sorts of fucked up. It's a exploitation rape revenge centered around disabled kids for goodness sake. And there is a copy containing the most dodgy subs ever heard of in the history of filmmaking, apparently. Not the copy I have, but I have heard many tales of the "Sex Lupine".

Despite its subject matter and brutality, it's actually a really well made film. Very artistic and emotional in scenes. Lovers of cinema should find some appreciation for it at least, but of course those who love exploitaion will adore it too. The final confrontation involving Mr Chan is a sight to behold. Gorehounds rejoice!

It's hard recommending a movie like this, but I'm going to do it anyway. Watch this movie. And if you get a hold of the dodgy subs version, you'll be pissing yourself laughing all the way.

image

And yay, wouldn't ya believe it, it's on youtube! Not sure if this copy is the dodgy subs one or not, but check it our regardless. The dodgy subs copy is bound to get some extra laughs thrown in.
