Tenet
I've fallen off the Nolan bandwagon a bit over the years, but this one was alright. It's basically Christopher Nolan's big and overblown Hollywood version of "In the Shadow of the Moon", but I'm not complaining. With all the weird sci-fi shit he does, it's about time that he did something with time-travel.
Does it make sense though? Eh, it makes enough sense I guess. Nolan is big on introducing huge high concept sci-fi and leaving the mechanisms to the imagination, or flat out making up weird bullshit (I'm looking at you, Interstellar). But it's like Dean Lerner said, "If you're looking at the wires, you're a freak." which basically means shut up and accept it. It's a time travel movie, so it'll never make complete sense.
Does it feature Michael Caine though? Yes, and barely. It also features recycled plots from Inception about someone trying to get their kid back, as well as our "protagonist" being coerced into working with the bad guys. You can predict a few twists too, but maybe it's not so much predicting as it is reading character reactions to certain scenes. The little details are handled pretty well though.
It's kinda boring for the first half, but then it'll all start to get interesting as you watch things fold. Or unfold? Also, tenet spelled backwards is tenet. đĨ´
