Can you believe it's already been a whole year? Trash Epics went online on March 13th, 2014, so today marks the site's 1 year anniversary of birth. (Yes, this site was born).
Is owning and operating a website on every level everything I dreamed it would be? Well... no, to be perfectly honest. Then again, I'm a man who doesn't really care about anything, so my best hope was to simply wing it and build a forum, and see if I could make it work. And the site does work, exactly as expected, yet... nobody really cares because it doesn't have an angle. Then again, I still can't think of a good one.
To break it down, this site exists as an extension of imdb's horror board, with only a small handful of regular users. I figure I probably couldn't cater to a large user base, but this site definitely lacks. Of course, it's always a work in progress, and it's come a long way (fashionably and functionally). And due to the vast quantities of pot I've been smoking these days, I've been able to really dive into coding, to learn some really cool things to do with the site, and will continue the effort to advance this aimlessly inappropriate website.
I've been a pretty lazy webmaster. I rarely post content, but I'm always open to ideas. No, seriously! It disappoints me that user contributions have become so rare, because I truly want other trash addicts to post to this site, about whatever the fuck works for them.
People probably view Trash Epics as a mere movie forum, but that's only a small part of what I ever want to achieve. There are still so many possibilities with this website. A web page isn't just output. It's a fully functional program that can interface with almost anything electronic these days. And I've barely scratched the surface with my limited coding knowledge. Trash Epics can still take over the world. I do have faith in that.
And for the regulars who've stuck by (out of boredom, I assume), thanks for everything. @Tromafreak, @Shaza, @slasherfan85, @AlcoholicNinja. @Ballz and @Moffat probably died. đ
