Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark
I finally got the chance to watch this movie Saturday evening after work. I was thrilled to watch it! It brought back my childhood of when I would read it with friends and get spooked out by the stories! Even now I still own all of the books!
Anyways, I was super excited to see this book come to life! Unfortunately it was just plain meh. It started off really slow, and me personally I don't like slow movies. I was already bored within the first 30 mins, but it was a free movie so why not just go ahead and finish it? I wasn't aware that this movie was set back some years. I must've not really paid attention to that in the trailer, but that wasn't a huge deal to me. I wanted there to be more stories involved! I straight up just wanted MORE!
I was also disappointed that it was rated PG-13. I wish it would've been rated R for the people who grew up reading this book could see a little more horror in it.
It was an okay movie, definitely not one of my favorites.
