The top trending story on Facebook is in my 'hood

This is crazy. There are at least five helicopters up there, zooming around, and all the police sirens are driving me crazy.

For some reason, I keep thinking of the big party at the end of the Paolo Bacigalupi story The Fluted Girl, which is one of the scariest stories I have ever read in my entire life. But, anyway, the end of that story was about this type of thing, a big celebrity-studded event, and the normal, regular people in the area whose lives are affected by it.
