The creepiest movies you have seen?
Okay, this might not be the most orginal topic around, but the other day I was trying to construct a list of all the movies that I genuinely found creepy. Obviously, I am a grown man and horror movies don't scare me anymore. However, once in a while, a horror will come along that I do find creepy. Here is what I found to be creepy, at least to me:
The Demon Murder Case (1983 TV Movie): this is a movie that I only seen for the first time this year, and already, I must have seen it at least three times. Supposedly, based on true events make it even the more sinister. It is full of many creepy outstanding scenes, including the greatest levitating scene to appear in a horror film that I have ever seen. Not many people have seen it, but I do find it to be more creepier than The Exorcist, for example.
Sole Survivor (1983): I said it many times before, and it is worth reiterating just how great this film is! Not only has it a great screenplay but it is also genuinely- terrifying. It packs in many jump scares where the protagonist could be carrying out unexciting tasks and then suddenly these deceased "people" who do not reflect any life behind the eyes begin to show up. The soundtrack is both eerie and distressing in equal measure to already heightens the bleak, atmospheric and foreboding tone.
Don't Go to Sleep (1982): Don't Go to Sleep is an astonishingly creepy made-for-television film, and one of the best made for television horror films that I've ever seen. Don't Go to Sleep pulls no punches with suspense and shocks, but it never resorts to outlandish and pointless gore to get its point across, but instead it relies on old-fashioned suspense, which is refreshing to behold. It is up their with Burnt Offerings and its ilk for a slow burner haunted house chiller.
Flower of Flesh and Blood (1985): Okay, this may be an odd choice, but I actually found this to be terrifying. I don't want to give away an spoilers, but 'cause of its sheer brutality...
Those are the main ones, that spring to mind, but here are some honourable mentions, that have their moments:
Tetsuo
The Woman in Black (orginal)
Hellbound: Hellraiser II
Hellraiser
Suspiria
Burnt Offerings
The Exorcist
The Poughkeepsie Tapes
Sleepaway Camp

The Evil Dead
The Mothman Prophecies
Messiah of Evil
Mutants
The Haunted (TV Movie 1991)
