There's a stigma around the subject for a reason. Differing opinions lead to hostile reactions, and people get heated over the dumbest shit.

Is Trash Epics the place to talk politics? Hmm... probably not, because ideologies clash, and we really only want to talk about movies here, but it doesn't change the fact that stupid shit is happening in the world every day, and a lot of these things are becoming increasingly harder to ignore. So, sorry if my drunken rants offend your delicate fucking sensibilities, but I'm not going to apologize for having an opinion.

I'm a reasonable man. My life is governed by simple logic, and practicality. If people are going out of their way to be illogical, then I wont be able to wrap my head around it, and I'm entirely likely to get annoyed by it.

Life is made bearable when people are civil. If I have an opinion that differs from yours, don't just disagree with it and throw in the towel. Use your words, and most importantly, base your thoughts on facts rather than emotions.

I'm a self-declared tool, and I'm more than capable of being wrong. If I'm spouting off dumb shit, tell me. Educate me. Tell me why I'm being asinine, and I'll concede. Don't just trust the Fake News Networks and tell me you hate Trump because he's an orange racist. That's not a valid argument. Facts, I tell you. Facts!

If you hate Trump, that's fine. If you admire Hillary, that's fine. If you think Americans are imperialistic pigs, that's fine. Think whatever you want. It's your opinion, and you're always entitled to it. If life was full of like-minded individuals, it would get boring real fast.


It's okay to a liberal and it's okay to be a conservative. It only becomes a problem when you take it to extremes, and leave your reasoning at the door.

So to any users who've been offput by all this political talk, you're more than welcome to come back and speak your mind. If you think I'm a stupid republican, you wont be ostracized for it, and I'll do my best to keep my dastardly opinions out of your face. Just remember where you are though. You're on Trash Epics, and you can disagree with whoever you want.

Get Out (2017)

Just finished watching Get Out (2017). I did not like this movie at all. I felt it spent the entire runtime making the statement that all white people are racist. Wasn't even subtle about it.

Suggestions for some art-house vampire films, please

I am looking for some good artsy-fartsy vampire films, please. I'm looking to broaden my horizons a bit and explore some other vampire films, vampire films which aren't particularly concerned with action scenes or plot twists. Any recommendations from this list? I just watched Nightmare Weekend and Buttcrack. Trying to shoot for some of the less mainstream ones. Too bad there's no imdb rating on there, but plenty of them are short runtimes, so even if the movie sucks, it'll be some easy points.

I started watching Batman vs. Superman last night, and it was so bad, I turned it off barely 10 minutes in. Then I got to thinking how much I fucking HATE Zack Snyder.

12 movies that should be in the Troma catalog



Troma has done a nice job at living off the reputation it got from putting out movies like The Toxic Avenger, Redneck Zombies and Cannibal The Musical. Although, there are quite a few more great ones and definitely quite a few good ones, too, but considering how few and far between the good/great ones are in a sea of garbage, I'm not so sure Troma is qute as deserving of whatever reputation it may have left. Because, really, what have they done for us lately? Father's day? No. 2011 isn't lately. I'm not sure what's up with that Return To Nuke 'Em High Volume 2, and don't really care, to be hones. I'm sure I'll get a few laughs out of it, but I doubt it's going to be the next legendary Troma movie that will be spoken in the same breath as Combat Shock. But I'm not here to bash Troma, as I've accepted their hey day is over, and that there doesn't seem to be much motivation to improve things. But have you ever been watching some crazy B-movie and thought to yourself "This could totally be a Troma movie"? I have. Here's 12 that I feel would have been a perfect fit for Troma, and could have possibly gotten them a little more long lasting respect.

I've seen a lot of Troma movies, which goes without saying that I've seen a lot of shit. But aside from that, I've also seen a lot of Troma movies that should not be Troma movies at all. Some are just so abysmal and boring, that they do this company no favors, and mostly just make it seem like the company that'll take ANY movie. "If all else fails, there's always Troma", some wannabe Horror directors probably say, nowadays. That's sad. Troma should have taken a little more pride in itself over the years. Also, some of these films are simply not a good fit, and would seem more at home in the Something Weird catalogue. I don't know what happened there, but there's about as many black sheep as there is unwatchable garbage.

Corey Feldman has been trying to warn people for years about pedophiles in Hollywood. They keep trying to shut him up. I wonder if Kevin Spacey was one of the people Feldman had on his list?

Truth be told - I really hadn't seen many of his movies prior to the October Challenge, except for a couple. I really do like his movies - the thick atmosphere that is present in many of his movies. I only really have skimmed the surface of his filmography. I enjoyed all of his movies that I seen - none disappointed (I didn't rate anything less than a six)

Any fans of this? It sounds really interesting, I'm gonna try to watch it this weekend. It's set in an alternate reality 1940's Los Angeles, where magic is real, and it sounds like it has a lot of humor. I have heard of it, of course, but I don't think it has ever really clicked in my brain, what the movie is. Any fans here??
