#CastleFalls (2021)
Directed by Dolph Lundgren himself! Castle Falls is about two characters caught in the crossfire over a fat sack of cash. Scott Adkins is working with a demolition crew about to destroy an old hospital, but he finds a wad of money hidden inside. Dolph is a prison security guard who gets word of the money from an inmate and wants to use it to save his sick daughter's life. They're both ater the money, but so is a gang of ruthless criminals.
This movie was a pretty solid. Competent, high stakes, and violent. Our protagonists are panicked and desperate, not impervious to fear and damage like they usually portray, and that human element is what's missing from a lot of Hollywood action romps.

Do you believe in any instances of the #MengeleEffect?
I could have sworn Stranger Things came out in 2015, but now I'm informed it was 2016. I'm usually pretty good about release dates, and I googled it and it said it was a common mengele effect.
Fruit of the Loom had a cornucopia in it, but Sinbad's Shazam never existed.

#RIP Robert Duvall.
Quite frankly, I'm surprised he was still alive. You hadn't heard much about him in years.
The Godfather 1 & 2 are great. I always felt like they shafted his character in that because he wasn't blood related, but also because they excluded him entirely in part 3.
To Kill a Mockingbird was one of his earliest. I remember watching that in school and he pops up as Boo Radley.
He loved the smell of napalm in the morning.
The Sixth Day was also decent.

WTF is up with those #UniversalSoldier sequels?
The first one came out in 1992 when Van Damme was kicking ass. It's an okay film. I'd see them selling copies of it all the time at the grocery store back in the day.
Six years later, they did 2 back-to-back DTV movies. I finally watched them. The second was okay at best, featuring Gary Busey as the main villain and a recast Luc Devereaux. The new guy did an okay job as the stoic bad-ass. The third one kinda sucked, though.
This was 1998 mind you, and these two films were chock-full of 90s alternative music to the point of being distracting and feeling out of place. My sister and I were laughing at their failed attempts to be cool.
Both sequels featured Burt Reynolds as the bad guy pulling the strings. They set it up for a TV show continuation, but at that point, nobody cared to follow up that thread, because while they were making these shit-shows, Van Damme was making his own proper sequel. That's why I find this whole mess so confusing.
So Van Damme comes back to put the series back on the right track. It's not exactly the same vibe as the original, but I still enjoy the movie. Audiences, however, did not, and the movie killed the franchise for another 10 years.
So Van Damme comes back to put the series back on the right track. Again. This time is more fitting because it's violent and also has Dolph again, even though it makes no sense how they can keep bringing him back after he gets obliterated, but whatever. It's a decent entry.
Then, they throw all that out the window and make Van Damme the bad guy for the next one, and Scott Adkins (usually a bad-ass) is constantly getting his ass kicked throughout the entire movie. And Dolph is back again when there's no plausible way for that to happen. So yeah, I'm not sure wtf is going on with this series.

Happy #FridayThe13th!!
The first of three this year: February, March, and November. Allow me to blather on, because there's some "news". As for stupid things, the short film "Sweet Revenge" was taken down a while ago and for no reason, so if you didn't see it when it came out, you're fucked.
The TV show is still in the works, but Harry Manfredini is reportedly attached to do at least some small bit of the score, which is awesome. A Jason movie isn't a Jason movie without his score, as evident with the 2009 movie. This show will probably get released in another 10 years at the rate it's been going.
Since the lawsuit is apparently over, there are murmurings of a new movie. I wont hold my breath just yet.
And NECA is finally putting out a Part 8 and a Jason Goes to Hell figure (versions from "The Game"), so they already have my money. I recently grabbed a re-release of the Part 3 figure, because I'm such a sucker.
Now, the hardest part of my day... figuring out which of the movies I'll watch tonight...

#NewFeature: Multiplayer Games
Not exactly new, but an improved version of the casino games that used to be on here, and a few more. Also included is the return of the infamous shoutbox, but only for game lobbies, and the chats only retain the latest 20 messages. I'm calling you out, @VincentPriceIsRight.
The games include the following:
#Battleship: Position your ships and alternate attacks on coordinates to sink each other's boats. Just like that stupid game, but simple games are good coding practice.
#Blackjack: 1 to 4 players with the lobby host as the dealer. Same as before with a few fixes and "splits" work now.
#Checkers: Regular checkers with a few visual updates.
#Chess: A game I originally put up on TE years ago, but now it's more efficient and probably coded more accurately.
#Connect4: I remember znep mentioned we should have this, and he never played it when I put it up. Not once.
#GoFish: 1 to 4 players. Ask a specified player for a card to get the most books. I don't hate this game.
#GuessWho: This is a pretty stupid game, but I made it somewhat more interesting by adding custom character sets. You can guess characters from Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th. First to win 5 rounds wins the game.
#WheelOfFortune: Another returning game where the host can input a custom puzzle or have it selected at random from a few themes: It's Always Sunny, Trailer Park Boys, Rickyisms, and Terminator. Feel free to recommend more.
I have a few more complicated ones in the works, which I'll probably forget about. I've tested these games, but there may be bugs here and there. If you encounter any errors and you're on desktop and familiar with developer tools, report the console errors to me so I can fix it.

#RIP James Van Der Beek. I never watched Dawson's Creek because I'm not a chick, but he was great in The Rules of Attraction. Cancer is a bitch. It also got the singer of 3 Doors Down Brad Arnold. A two or three hit wonder as far as I'm concerned, but still good songs.

@Tromafreak, what's the verdict on Marshmallow? I saw it streaming somewhere and had a vague interest.
